Senior Chinese delegation to attend Israel Telecom 2006
A delegation of government officials and businesspeople from China’s Jiangsu Province will attend the Israel Telecom 2006 exhibition and conference in November at the Tel Aviv Fairgrounds. Jiangsu, outside of Shanghai, is one of China’s high-tech centers. The delegation will meet representatives of Israeli companies.
The Israel Export and International Cooperation Institute said the Israeli Consulate in Shanghai invited the delegation. Delegation members include executives from Jiangsu Mobile, Jiangsu Telecom, Jiagnsu Unicom, the president of Electronic Systems, the chairman of Wisecom Systems and the vice president of Jiangsu Nandasoft Company Ltd. (HKSE:008045).
Ministry of Foreign Affairs Economics Division director Ilan Maor, who is responsible for ties with Asia, said the visit was initiated by the Jiangsu Province Communist Party Secretary who visited Israel in May, and decided to establish ties with Israel with an emphasis on high tech.
Israel Telecom 2006 will be held on November 6-8. The exhibit will focus on Israeli IT and telecommunications industry, including wireless, communications security, technologies, infrastructure, content, Internet, software, and start-ups.
