China Telecom completes M2M platform construction (China)
China Telecom has completed the construction of its M2M (machine to machine) platform. The construction of M2M platform started at the end of 2007 intending to solve problems of end-to-end data collection, management, and retransmission. The platform is capable of accessing various terminals and systems, providing remote management, operating monitor, alarm control, agreement adaptation, industrial server access, transparent business data transmission, and industrial application of ADC, and can help carriers play a more valuable role, rather than simply providing number and data tariff package.
M2M has gained attention from carriers, system integrators, and solution providers. Accessing the platform’s charging system into Telecom Group’s integrated service management platform is going to mark full completion of the project.
