Qtel introduces BlackBerry Curve 3G and the BlackBerry Pearl 3G in Qatar
Qtel has launched two new BlackBerry smart phones in Qatar the BlackBerry Curve 3G and the BlackBerry Pearl 3G.
According to Qtel, both models reflect the innovative new designs that BlackBerry offers to the market, and strong demand is expected for the popular smart phones from both corporate and consumer BlackBerry smart phone enthusiasts. It offers a range of innovative packages that enable customers to match BlackBerry service to their lifestyle.
The company further said that with the launch of the two new BlackBerry smart phone models, Qtel is extending the commitment to provide customers with the latest range of smart phones, offering more choices and greater value in the range of models available.
The BlackBerry Curve 3G smart phone supports high-speed 3G (HSDPA) networks around the world and gives users exceptional communication features. It features a comfortable full-QWERTY keyboard, optical trackpad, built-in GPS and Wi-Fi, as well as dedicated media keys. It also features a 2 MP camera with video record and a microSD/SDHC slot that supports up to 32GB memory cards for media storage.
BlackBerry Pearl 3G is a sleek compact device. The device supports high-speed 3G (UMTS/HSDPA) networks, Wi-Fi and GPS along with a powerful processor that drives stunning images on the sharp, high-resolution display. It also features an optical trackpad for smooth navigation, dedicated volume and media keys for added convenience, a 3.2MP camera with flash for quality pictures, and support for up to 32GB of personal content.

The featherweight Nokia E55, the newest in the E-series range, is the smallest Nokia messaging device at just 9.9mm wide and is ultra-light weight.
The device sports a fast three-step email set up, a predictive engine that will suggest word completions, error completions and automatically learns new words in addition to a compact QWERTY keyboard.
It supports 3G, HSDPA/HSUPA and WLAN and can access PC files remotely.
The E55 also boasts full access to email, calendar and contacts through direct access to Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Notes. It also sports noise cancellation.
Palm Introduces Windows Mobile-Based Treo 750v Smartphone for Vodafone Customers
Palm has announced the Palm Treo 750v, the first Treo to take advantage of Vodafone’s 3G/UMTS network around the world. The new Treo 750v will be available first to Vodafone customers in the following countries:

and other regions by the end of the calendar year.
The Treo 750v combines the Palm experience of a multifeatured mobile phone with email, messaging, web browsing and organization software all in a new compact design.
The new device comes with Microsoft’s Messaging and Security Feature Pack (MSFP) for Windows Mobile 5.0, which includes Direct Push Technology and enhanced security features free and out of the box, when combined with a Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 SP2 for communications.
It is also fully compatible with Vodafone Business Email, giving remote access to enterprise and Internet-based email accounts.
Unique to the Treo smartphone on Windows Mobile 5.0 is a suite of software enhancements developed by Palm, including Today screen enhancements, which feature the ability to “dial by name” with a few keystrokes on the keyboard, perform a web search directly from the Today Screen and perform one-touch dialing with personalized photo speed dials.
Also featured is the ability to manage a call directly from the Today Screen and stay on top of voicemail with on-screen, VCR-like icons, such as rewind, delete and fast-forward controls for easy navigation.
For users who are constantly busy in meetings and appointments, the software supports the ability to ignore a call and quickly compose a text message, such as “In a meeting” or “Can’t talk”.

Users can expand the built-in memory through miniSD cards, and connect to other devices via Bluetooth, which also supports Bluetooth enabled stereo headsets, so users can enjoy multimedia through the built-in Windows Media Player 10 mobile.
