With the purchase of any of the featured Nokia devices, customers will get 1GB data package free for two months from Etisalat. The free data package will enable the customers to download the free Ramadan applications directly to their devices without paying for the Internet downloads.

This year’s Ramadan applications can be accessed and downloaded from Nokia’s Ovi Store. Users can launch Ovi Store from the Download! folder on the main menu on their Nokia device or access nokia.com/Ramadan on the PC.

ww.WirelessFederation.com/news: T-Mobile and Samsung have announced the availability of Samsung Gravity 2, an upgraded or a comeback version of Samsung Gravity from late last year.
The handset adorns much thinner design and revamped navigation controls, and features a few notable improvements: 3G connectivity, A-GPS with TeleNav, and a 2-megapixel camera. The handset still has a microSD card slot, a music player with MP3 and AAC support, Bluetooth, and e-mail support.
The Gravity 2 will be available for $29.99 with a two-year service agreement in two colors: metallic pumpkin and berry mauve.

www.WirelessFederation.com/news: AT&T is likely to soon launch the Samsung A887 Solstice on its network on 2 August. According to a media report, the carrier will sell the Samsung handset for  s low as $99.99 (with a 2-yr contract agreement and after a $50 mail-in rebate).
The Samsung Solstice is a mid-end touchscreen phone with features like A-GPS, Video Share, stereo Bluetooth, email, IM and a 2MP camera. The A887 seems to be using the TouchWiz UI.

The LX290 comes with “four conveniently-located shortcut keys for quick access to texting, email, personal calendar and alarm.”
Its other features include: QVGA display with 262K colors, GPS (Sprint Navigation), Bluetooth, Sprint Mobile Email, 1.3MP camera, and a 950 mAh battery for up to 6 hours of talk time.
Sprint also unveils the color version of BlackBerry Curve 8330: Inferno. The Inferno BlackBerry Curve 8330 costs $49.99 with a 2-yr contract agreement and after a $100 mail-in rebate.
The handsets are available online as well as at retail stores.

The firms CEO Patrick Kariningufu said that the package targets corporate and business users that need continuous mobile communication. The features of the package are international roaming, closed user group and itemised billing. The service is available for RWF 100,000 initial deposit, plus a monthly subscription of RWF 2,000. Francis Egbuson Rwandatel’s CCO said bills will be sent electronically via email monthly.
The package is launched as a supplement to the operator’s prepaid service, which was launched when the operator started GSM operations in 2008.
