Vodafone UK refutes iPhone rumours

www.WirelessFederation.com/news: Vodafone has refuted the rumours doing the rounds regarding it being the next to launch the iPhone in UK after the operator published web guide for the device.

Vodafone had advertised the ways to customise the iPhone on Vodafone specifically in UK, after which the rumours started doing rounds.
The site is designed for iPhone users who unlocked the handset from O2 and want to set it up for Vodafone programmes.
According to the operator, the application works across all business, including Portugal and Greece where iPhone is distributed. The application works on Nokia N95 as well.

www.WirelessFederation.com/news: French mobile operator Bouygues Telecom has added the itransport service from content publisher Moviken to its i-mode portal. The application calculates itineraries for trains, metros, trams, buses and coaches across the country. It covers most of France’s 400 transport networks, provided by 1,600 companies. The service can be used on around 20 phones, including the Nokia N95, 6180 and 6220 Navigator, Sony Ericsson C702 and C905, Samsung F480 and LG UK 990 Viewty. GPS-enabled phones allow itransport to detect the user’s position, place it on transport maps and calculate itineraries from this point. The service will become available to iPhone users at the end of April, when Bouygues introduces the handset.
