Wyless Group rolls out MVNE services

Global M2M managed services provider Wyless Group has introduced a range of MVNE services intended to enable ASPs and enterprises to deploy and manage M2M services around the globe.

The Wyless services combine wireless connectivity; management tools and a suite of managed services to enable customers reduce complexity and implementation time of their M2M applications.

Baraka Telecom – a subsidiary of Kuwait’s Reach Telecom Holding has opened Asia’s first Mobile Virtual Network Enabler (MVNE) hub in Malaysia. The MVNE handles the network and billing services on behalf of companies that want to create their own MVNO service.

According to Baraka Telecom, it can enable all MVNOs throughout Asia, irrespective of size, to decrease the time to market, and offer substantially more flexible platforms and services to their target segments of each mobile market.

According to Mohammad Al-Sayegh, Chairman and Board member of Baraka Telecom, they are pleased to invest in Malaysia. There is currently a tremendous growth opportunity in the mobile telecommunication sector in Asia. As the mobile market matures in this part of the world, MVNOs, with innovative ideas, with the right brand appeals, will flourish. Mobile consumers today are demanding more than just basic voice and SMS services, and prefer to be part of an affinity group which shares the same interest, content and services. They will help them achieve their desired goal.

MVNO has launched in Switzerland, which operates on the Orange network. TalkEasy has launched the EasyMobile branded service after signing a contract with MVNE provider, Transatel.

Since it started operations in the Swiss telecom market, TalkEasy has been operating as an ISP and IPTV provider. The SIM cards are firstly sold in the TalkEasy-Shop in Zurich, and online, while top-up vouchers will be sold in over 800 KKiosk points of sale.

According to Fredy Scheucher, Managing Director of TalkEasy GmbH, with this attractive offer, our customers will only pay for what they really use. They are going to save money, and will enjoy the wide KKi-osk network where they can find vouchers and top-up codes.

According to Jacques Bonifay, CEO of Transatel, they are very happy to be the partner of TalkEasy for the launch of EasyMobile. With this new offer, they believe that TalkEasy will be an important player on the Swiss mobile market. Thanks to their turn-key MVNO platform, they are exactly the right partner for TalkEasy, since they enable them to enter quickly on the market, as a MVNO.

Elephant Talk Communications Inc., an international provider of business software, has announced its Mobile Virtual Network Operating (MVNO) hosting agreement with T-Mobile Netherlands BV.

T-Mobile is launching new prepaid services under its own Ben brand through various distribution channels, along with other increased functionalities to the Dutch consumer market. The new plan of T-Mobile Netherlands operates on Elephant Talk’s Mobile Virtual Network Enabling (MVNE) platform.

According to Steven van der Velden, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Elephant Talk, within just a few months of announcing the company’s hosting agreement with T-Mobile Netherlands the project is introducing a full range of very attractive services to the Dutch market, demonstrating the effectiveness and flexibility for which the Elephant Talk’s mobile convergent platform had been selected by T-Mobile.

According to Hendrik Kasteel, Marketing Director of T-Mobile Netherlands, Elephant Talk’s mobile telecom platform is an integrated system that is cost-effective, simple and flexible to operate. Enabling prepaid services through multiple distribution channels with new recharge options, promotions and bundles, has proven to be possible on the Elephant Talk platform. This is what the company envisioned when contracting Elephant Talk for Ben Prepaid. And it is just the beginning of what this partnership will bring to the market.

Martin Zuurbier, Chief Technical Officer of Elephant Talk Communications, explained that the company is very pleased to see that the strategy meets the expectations of T-Mobile. Although it created many client specific features, the company’s convergent Mobile platform shows itself to be a truly flexible framework for configuring a variety of bespoke service combinations. The company believes it will help Ben Prepaid gain significant market share in The Netherlands. The platform also proves that an MVNE platform is not only there to support MVNOs but also to help out the MNOs. Elephant talk communication expects that the collaboration with T-Mobile Netherlands will lead to increased hosting services of the different MNO products and services.

Mr. Zuurbier noted since announcing Elephant Talk’s hosting agreement with T-Mobile Netherlands in May 2010 that other MNO’s have shown serious interest in using the flexible, fully integrated solutions that are provided by the company’s MVNE platform and expects to announce more new initiatives in the near future.
