T-Mobile has launched myTouch, a re-visioning of the carrier’s Android brand that offers everything that a person needs on his smartphone.

The myTouch offers a 3.8 inch display, a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, 2G Qualcomm Snapdragon 1GHz MSM8255 processor. Powered by Android 2.2, the myTouch offers a rich mobile Web experience and access to more than 80,000 applications on Android Market from games to location-based social networks to on-the-go shopping and much more.

The new device also features preloaded HD games, including Rock Band, Asphalt 5 and Monopoly. It also offers a front-facing camera, allowing users to video chat with other capable devices or a PC. The phone is equipped with T-Mobile’s HSPA+ network. the users can  avail it in  four different colors, white, black, plum, and red.

T-Mobile now offers 4G speed on the new myTouch and the T-Mobile G2, as well as the webConnect Rocket 2.0 and Rocket laptop sticks. In addition, customers located in new HSPA+ locations can benefit from faster speeds on their existing 3G smartphones — including popular devices, such as the myTouch 3G Slide.

Eric and T-Mobile USA signed an agreement to release a limited-edition myTouch smartphone. The handset features a sunburst finish inspired by Fender guitars.

Artists Wyclef Jean, Avril Lavigne and Brad Paisley will also be featuring in the handsets. Besides the handset will also have HTC-developed music player that allows users to touch the album art to toggle between views or change a song or album.

Users can also create ringtones as songs are playing, through the music player. According to T-Mobile USA, the myTouch 3G Fender Limited Edition introduces a customized multimedia sync solution created in partnership with startup doubleTwist.

T-Mobile will unveil the successor of Android based G1 handset. The new Android handset will be dubbed as myTouch 3G. Like the G1 handset, myTouch 3G will operate on Android OS and is being manufactured by HTC. The handset will be on sale in USA by this summer, making it the second Android-based phone to hit the market from a major carrier in the U.S. Google executives have said that more such phones are on the way. It forecasted that at least 18 Android phones from a variety of manufacturers will hit the market in 2009.
