Trial 3G network in Italy soon
Potevio, Chinese 3G equipment manufacturer has partnered with Italian firm Mywave Electronics to build a trial 3G network in Italy. The network will be based on the TD-SCDMA standard which was developed as China’s answer to the more popular global 3G systems W-CDMA and CDMA2000.
According to a report trial network will serve the corporate users.
Potevio is already running TD-SCDMA trials in Tianjin and Qinhuangdao in China, with other TD-SCDMA test networks being installed in Hong Kong, South Korea, Canada, Romania and Ghana.
