Vodafone receives approval for mobile network launch in French Polynesia

According to a media reports talks are now underway with Vodafone’s joint venture partner, Pacific Mobile Telecom, but no date has been decided for the network launch.
A spokesman for PMT, Patrick Moux, reportedly said that the company will try to launch its service as soon as possible. He says many issues still need to be addressed, but promises lower calling rates and better interconnection for those travelling overseas.
