US mobile operator Verizon Wireless has unveiled a range of new phones for the holiday season. Top of the line is the Voyager from LG, exclusive to Verizon. The shiny black Voyager boasts a large external touch screen which opens laterally to reveal a qwerty keypad. It includes access to Verizon’s mobile TV and music services including song ID. Also from LG is the Venus. The black slider has two dual-front screens, the lower of which also has touch input with vibration feedback. The music-centric handset has a microSD memory slot with access to Verizon music and video download services. From Samsung, Verizon has the Juke with a swivel design that enables it to flick open 180 degrees to reveal the keypad. The Juke also has a VGA camera with nightshot, Bluetooth stereo and access to Verizon services such as VZ Navigator and Chaperone. Finally, Verizon will also offer the latest BlackBerry Pearl 8130, which runs on EV-DO networks, in the exclusive colour silver. More details on the handsets and their pricing will be available when the phones are released.
