Samsung to launch Samsung Evergreen in US
Samsung has announced the launch of a new smartphone, Evergreen in United States.
Samsung claimed that Evergreen has been built with 70% recycled post-consumer plastics and 80% recycled post-consumer paper packaging.
Evergreen is equipped with a 2.4-inch TFT LCD 240 x 320 pixels resolution display with a slide-out full QWERTY keypad. It comes with a 2 megapixel camera that support Digital zoom, Exposure control, Night mode etc. The 3G smartphone also features GPS, Bluetooth, microUSB and social networking applications like Facebook, MySpace and Twitter. It has inbuilt memory of 256 MB, which can be extended up to 16 GB using micro SD card.
Samsung Evergreen will be available in United States through AT&T networks by Nov 7, 2010 at $29.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate.
Blackberry 8900 Available at reasonable rates on all the networks (UK)
Blackberry 8900 a new phone from RIM which is very compact yet a stylish phone. The device features BlackBerry OS 4.6, a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus lens, GPS and Wi-Fi with UMA calling.
It’s the thinnest BlackBerry by a slim margin and is significantly more compact than the capacious Bold. The screen is bright and large as well as it is packed with a QWERTY keypad which is user friendly and easy to handle.
The phone is available on deals and that to on cheap rates. Blackberry 8900 contracts are offered on T-mobile, O2, orange and Vodafone. These are the pay monthly deals which are available with a contract of 12-24 months. The cheapest deal is offered by T-mobile at US$23.57 with a 24 month contract. With this 300 minutes and unlimited text are also offered.
Orange offer you a 24 month contract deals at US$39.29 with 500 MB Internet data as well. O2 offers you an 18 month contract at US$31.43 in which 100 free minutes and unlimited text. Orange, O2 and Vodafone are also offering unlimited plans with these deals.
Micromax announces Q5 Dual SIM handset
www.WirelessFederation.com/news: Micromax, a Gurgaon based mobile manufacturing company has unveiled the latest dual SIM handset – Micromax Q5.
This phone features Dual SIM (GSM + GSM), 15MB internal storage extendable up to 8GG expandable memory via MicroSD card, QWERTY Keypad with Track Ball, 2.2 inches QVGA Screen with 320×240 pixel resolution and 262 k colors and a 2MP camera with video recording acility.
The other features integrated with this phone are micro USB port for transfer of data, Bluetooth with A2DP, GPRS, EDGE, and WAP 2.0.
There is also Facebook, IM for multiclient chats, multiple audio formats like MP3, AMR, MIDI and WAV. Micromax Q5 has been priced at Rs. 5100 in India.
Samsung to launch i320N on Friday the 13th
The Korean phone maker showed off its latest Windows Mobile smart phone, the SGH-i320N, at a press event held in Singapore today. Touted as Samsung’s answer to the much-anticipated Moto Q, the i320N sports a chassis that is just 11.5mm thin, making it one of the lightest and slimmest smart phones in the market today. Based on specifications, the Moto Q is 0.5mm thicker than the Samsung handheld.
Samsung Asia’s director of Sales, Telecommunication and IT Products, Ng Long Shyang, described the SGH-i320N during the launch as a “stylish QWERTY smart phone” that “integrates portability with business and multimedia functions”.
Like the Moto Q, the i320N is equipped with a 1.3-megapixel CMOS camera, QWERTY keypad, Windows Mobile 5.0 OS, speakerphone, Bluetooth as well as a QVGA screen. It is expected to be available in Singapore from October 13, at a recommended retail price of S$598 (US$380.46) with two-year contract (or S$698 (US$444.08) without plan). The Samsung smart phone will be rolled out across Asia in the following weeks.
