The tariffs will offer free calls, free SMS/MMS and unlimited mobile internet access within Switzerland. The prepaid version is dubbed as Natel Easy BeFree and offers unlimited calls within Switzerland for CHF 2 per day; unlimited SMS/MMS for CHF 3 per day and unlimited mobile internet use for CHF 4 per day.

The fees will be charged only when subscribers make calls, send SMS or use internet that day. The postpaid versions are Natel BeFree and Natel Business One, both cost CHF 169 per month including unlimited calls, SMSs, and MMSs within Switzerland plus mobile internet access up to 2 GB per month at HSPA/UMTS speeds. After the limit is reached, the speeds are decreased to GPRS levels until a new month begins.

The LTE network will be demonstrated live in Oslo between a laptop PC with a 4G modem and public internet/intranet, included downloads of high resolution photos, music, movies and mobile business applications, at higher speeds than most fixed internet accesses currently available. Using the LTE MIMO and OFDM technologies, the download peak data rate can reach up to 150 Mbps in one LTE cell with multiple terminals.

www.WirelessFederation.com/news: MTC Touch, the Lebanese mobile operator, has reduced the tariffs of selected Magic prepaid and Touch postpaid services. For Magic subscribers, MTC Touch offers a 33% reduction on the MMS service, from USD 0.45 to USD 0.30, in addition to offering the CLIR service to prepaid line holders for a monthly fee of USD 10.
Touch subscribers will also receive a 50% drop on the MMS service, from USD 0.40 to USD 0.20, a 50% discount on the monthly fee of the CLIR service, dropping from USD 20 to USD 10, and a 65% on the monthly fee of the Advanced CLIR service, dropping from USD 25 to USD 10. In addition, MTC Touch is reducing by 50 percent the monthly fee on the Missed Call SMS notification service, which has gone from USD 2 to only USD 1 per month. MTC Touch will further offer tariff reductions on Internet services for postpaid Touch subscribers.
Subscribers will have to pay a monthly fee of USD 10 for 50MB capacity, USD 15 for 120MB or USD 25 for 250MB. The price per additional MB has been slashed to 0.1 cent for all three services.

Points are offered according to the monthly credit a subscriber uses to make calls, send text messages or access the internet. The bonus can be used to make on-net calls, to add prepay options, purchase SMS packages or to use Orange World. In order to receive the prepaid points the subscribers will have to register themselves by sending an SMS to a four-digit number. Each subscriber is offered 100 prepaid points when registering, while the rest of the points are attributed every month according to the amount of monthly credit used. Subscribers can obtain 80 points for MDL 50 credit used per month, 200 points for MDL 50-100, 500 points for 100-150 MDL, 800 points for MDL 150-250 and 1400 points for over MDL 250.

Under the promotion, Vodafone offers mobile flat-rate subscribers with up to 1,000 free minutes per month for voice calls to fixed-line numbers. In addition, subscribers who also opt for a residential internet line will receive a 40 percent discount on Vodafone’s 6 Mbps ADSL service, to EUR 19.90/month.
The promotion is valid until 31 July, but the operator plans to make the offer definitive, says Antonio Garcia-Urgeles, director of Vodafone Spain’s residential business unit.

According to an agreement, the company signed with nine mobile phone manufacturers and three chipset producers, the two sides would pour CNY 1.2 billion into the R&D project. The company said that the newly-launched R&D project will focus on the design of a flagship mobile phone model that supports broadband internet, and a more economical one whose market price will be under CNY 1,000. The telecommunication companies of China use different CDMA standards. Each will separately order terminals from different mobile phone makers which support their own standards.
