Sercomtel expects pre paid service to boost growth (Brazil)
www.WirelessFederation.com/news: Sercomtel, a Brazilian telecoms operator expects that the company’s growth in 2010 will be driven by the firm’s new pre-paid fixed broadband service. The announcement has been made by Fernando Kireff, the president of Brazilian telecoms operator Sercomtel.
However, no details on the company’s numbers in the broadband segment have yet been revealed.
People currently using dial-up modems are the main targets of the operator. A prepaid broadband service in the cities of Londrina and Tamarana has also been launched by the company in Parana state and it charges .90 (USD17) per month for a connection speed of 200kbps.
