Telefonica Spain and Sermepa trial NFC payments
www.WirelessFederation.com – Telefonica Spain has joined hands with the Spanish R&D provider Sermepa to offer NFC based mobile payment trials in the nation. The users can avail this facility by using the Virtual Mobile Wallet application stored in their SIM cards. The users will then have to select the bank card they want to use for making payments. After choosing the card, the users will have to wave their NFC enabled handsets over NFC terminals to complete their payment process.
Telefonica’s NFC platform and Sermepa’s applications provision system will also enable trial users to manage the life cycle of various financial cards, such as emission, activation, use as well as cancellation.
