www.WirelessFederation.com/news: Orange Uganda subscriber base has reached the 250,000 mark. The telco’s Marketing Manager Marvin Kagoro said the company hopes to have 1 million subscribers at 2009-end. He further said that the firm will soon extend awareness across the nation by early May, beginning with the eastern region which will be followed by the western region. The firm also began marketing campaigns across Kampala.
The campaigns include selling of Sim packs and mobile phones as well as giving out T-shirts and caps to the public. The campaign aims at introducing its new products to the market by creating awareness of the products and services offered by the telco.
