SK Telecom (SKT) in partnership with Seogwipo City is planning to offer free internet access on buses from next month.

According to an ICT official with Seogwipo City, it is also planning to build wireless internet zones on forty buses, at six bus stops, and at two bus terminals.

The model features 3.7 inch WVGA screen besides T-DMB mobile TV, 5-megapixel camera, 720MHz CPU, front-facing camera for video calls, 8GB of internal memory, HSPA and WiFi connectivity, 3.5mm headset jack, Bluetooth 2.1 and a 1500mAh battery.

The phone will support all Google services, including access to Android Market.

China Unicom Ltd is to buy back a 3.8 percent stake held by SK Telecom for about US$1.29 billion.
According to china Unicom, SK telecom will sell it back 899.75 million shares it holds in China Unicom.
“After the share repurchase, China Unicom will be pleased to maintain the sound cooperation partnership with SKT,” China Unicom Chairman Chang Xiaobing said in a statement.
The repurchased shares will be cancelled and the total shares of China Unicom will be reduced from 23.768 billion to about 22.868 billion.
