www.WirelessFederation.com/news: Etisalat, the UAE’s leading mobile operator, has announced a reduction in price of the two iPhone 3G package it offers to both Wasel prepaid and postpaid subscribers. The new tariffs which are reduced by 22% will be applicable from 5 May.
As per the new price plans, the Apple iPhone 8GB will be offered in black at a price tag of AED 2,680, while the 16GB device will be available in white or black for AED 3,055 without any additional monthly fee.
Etisalat also offers a free 250MB monthly data package for six months and one free Wasel Sim Card with every iPhone, bringing down the cost of the handset to a little over AED 600.
Subscribers can make choice of either activating their subscription on current SIM or on new SIM. Subscribers who would like to opt for a larger data pack are offered the free bandwidth of 250MB per month added to their selected package automatically.
For postpaid packages, subscribers can opt from four iPhone plans ranging from zero upfront cost to AED 2205 for the 8GB device and from AED 375 to AED 2575 for the 16GB device.
Etisalat subscribers will also get the opportunity to upgrade their software to OS 3.0 for free.
