The operator has begun the testing of its Wo-branded service and plans to launch officially as early as 1 October, a media report suggests.  After the official launch, China Unicom will offer three subscriptions: a CNY 5 per month plan which includes a 10 GB mailbox, 1 GB of additional storage and the ability to send attachments of up to 30 MB; a CNY 15 per month plan which includes unlimited mailbox, 10 GB of online storage, and an attachment limit of 50 MB; and a free plan which includes a 2 GB inbox, 10 GB of online storage, and a 20 MB attachment limit.

Orange’s Toshiba TG01 comes with an 8GB MicroSD card, and it’s pre-loaded with a “GI Joe” trailer, which should make good use of the phone’s 4.1 inch WVGA display and its 1GHz Snapdragon chipset.

Customers on the Lightweight Plan will get 200 minutes instead of the current 120 minutes. Middleweight Plan customers will get 400 minutes instead of the current 240 minutes and the Heavyweight plan customers will get 800 minutes instead of the current 480 minutes.

New and existing Vodafone customers applying for any of Vodafone’s Knock Out plans can also benefit from greater discounts on mobile phones and an even larger choice of free phones. Depending on their choice of tariff customers can get up to 100 percent off any mobile phone they choose.

In addition to the free mobile phone, new customers applying for any one of the Knock Out plans until August15 will get two months of free SMS to all Vodafone numbers.

“The Knock Out Plans are three Pay Monthly Plans: the Lightweight, Middleweight and Heavyweight that start from as little as €20 per month. These offer our customers different bundles of minutes to any fixed and mobile line which best suit their needs. Customers can also get free calls and SMS during evenings. Additionally customers may also add extra value SMS and fixed line bundles to benefit from even cheaper rates,” said Elken Calleja, Demand Stimulation Senior Executive at Vodafone Malta.
