UK’s Synchronica Buys Colibria’s instant messaging business
Mobile email and instant messaging provider Synchronica, has signed an agreement to acquire Colibria’s IMPS (Instant Messaging and Presence Service) business, reseller agreements, and existing worldwide mobile operator customer base.
According to Synchronica CEO Carsten Brinkschulte, the company’s acquisition of Colibria’s instant messaging business will allow Synchronica to offer a range of next-generation messaging products to service providers, improving their competitive positioning and accelerating their commercial growth.
The future plans of Synchronica include offering Colibria as a stand-alone product with the product being integrated into Synchronica’s Mobile Gateway messaging suite. It will also be pre-installed on Synchronica’s recently launched MessagePhone.
Synchronica sells 12,000 mobile management licences for undisclosed sum
LONDON (AFX) – AIM-listed Synchronica PLC said it has agreed to sell 12,000 user licences for its web based mobile device management service to UK reseller Business Integrated Solutions Ltd (BIS) for an undisclosed amount.
It said its Mobile Manager product, to be sold by BIS under the brand Remote XT, will allow subscribers to send a message to lost or stolen mobiles to remotely delete data, lock the devices and, optionally, emit a high-pitched scream.
