Nokia says wins expansion order from Taiwan Mobile

HELSINKI (Reuters) – Finland’s Nokia (NOK1V.HE) said on Wednesday it had won an order from Taiwan Mobile Co. (3045.TW) to expand its WCDMA 3G mobile telecoms network.

Nokia said it will provide core network expansion, extend Taiwan Mobile’s radio network with 3,000 base stations and upgrade the network software with its High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) technology.

The company did not give a value for the deal.
