The Turkish regulator plans for a 3G auction in the country. The telecommunication authority has decided to award four UMTS licence in a sealed bid tender. The bidders who present the highest three bids in each tender will be invited for an open auction, with the highest bid in the first round taken as the lower limit for the auction. The bandwith to be allocated  for the A, B, C and D licences are 40 MHz, 35 MHz, 30 MHz and 25 MHz, with minimum bids set at EUR 285 million, EUR 250 million, EUR 214 million and EUR 178 million respectively. The tenders for interested bidders are available till 24 November.
