Sprint Nextel and Xohm WiMax service together offer local features (USA)

Sprint Nextel, USA, is planning to put location-based services front and center on its Xohm WiMax service, which will offer a portal with widgets for local weather, traffic, events, reviews and other information.

The carrier is all geared up to announce a partnership with uLocate Communications, along with Google, AccuWeather, Navteq, reviews site Yelp and other content providers. (more…)
