Verizon’s V Cast debuts two more Latino channels

A week after premiering the Latino-themed V Cast mobile TV channels Viva! Vision and Sorpresa!, Verizon Wireless this week launched Si TV Comedy and Si TV Latino, two more channels aimed at capturing the lucrative Hispanic demographic. Si TV Latino will court 18-to-34 year-olds with a programming slate comprised largely of original music, comedy and lifestyle content, including programs starring Saved by the Bell alum Mario Lopez and Queer Eye’s Jai Rodriguez. Si TV Comedy will target a similar demographic via programming including the sketch showcase “Unacceptable Behavior” and the documentary series “Inside Joke.”

“Si TV viewers are the early technology adopters who consume a lot of entertainment and information on mobile devices,” Si TV senior vice president of digital media Lisa Black said in a prepared statement. “We are committed to providing unique and culturally relevant content for our audience via V Cast.”
