The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has announced the results of an auction to award 800 MHz spectrum. The Commission received applications for 800 MHz spectrum from four licensed operators: GiCell Wireless, Multilinks Telecommunications, TC Africa Telecoms Network and Visafone Communications. After evaluating all four applications, the NCC has announced the provisional award of the spectrum to Visafone. The successful applicant must pay the licence fees within 14 days of the provisional award.
