Vodafone Malta begins 2011 networking events series

Vodafone Malta has organized its first event in a series of networking events for 2011 aimed at CEOs, general managers and business executives.

The main aim of this series of events is to create an environment where business leaders can informally meet and create contacts for their future business endeavors.

At the event, Vodafone Malta’s CEO, Balesh Sharma spoke about the product portfolio that Vodafone is providing to businesses in Malta. Vodafone’s portfolio for businesses includes fixed telephony, internet connectivity and mobile telephony. Vodafone Malta can connect offices and outlets across the island and it can even provide businesses with dedicated international links. Among the top local companies who are using Vodafone Malta’s total telco portfolio are Intercontinental Malta and Farsons Group of Companies.

 

Vodafone offers Freebees to prepaid customers (Malta)

Vodafone is offering another beneficial offer to all its prepaid customers  a Freebee on every Top-up.

The new Vodafone Freebees will give you 200 free SMS to all local Vodafone numbers and 50 MB of free mobile web access with every top-up.

To obtain the Vodafone Freebee, the users have to send an SMS with the word SMSWEB to 16200 and then Top-up with at least US$13.97.

According to Alexandre Froment-Curtil, Head of Marketing at Vodafone Malta, this is an offer not to be missed. Due to its exceptional value, they are confident that this offer will be a hit with everyone, particularly youth. This is a totally new concept where they want to reward prepaid customers for their loyalty each time they top-up.

Froment-Curtil added that Vodafone Malta has launched Vodafone Freebees to make data usage easier and more affordable for everyone. Their team constantly strives to invigorate Vodafone Malta’s presence in the market and their aim is to provide customers new concepts that give them quality, value and fun while making mobile technology affordable to all.

As per the company, customers applying for the Vodafone Freebees will also be benefitting from a new prepaid plan that enables them to make calls for 25c per minute to any local number and send SMS to any local number at 5c per SMS.

Vodafone launches BlackBerry Torch in Malta

Vodafone Malta has officially announced the launch of BlackBerry Torch 9800, the first BlackBerry ever to feature a sliding form factor.

bbtThe BlackBerry Torch 9800 offers the user a full physical keyboard and touch-screen. The highly awaited BlackBerry 6 operating system also makes its debut on the BlackBerry Torch 9800, steering in the next generation of messaging and multimedia on BlackBerry.

The handset features a 3.2-inch touchscreen display with 480 x 360 resolution, full, slide-out QWERTY keyboard with an optical trackpad. The phone is bundled with a 5-megapixel autofocus camera with video and scenes.  The phone also features Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n with an internal memory of 512MB which can be extended to 4GB microSD card.

Vodafone Malta launches WiMAX package

Vodafone Malta will launch an inclusive package of fixed line voice telephony, high speed internet and wireless services over its WiMAX network. Vodafone@home will be available from tomorrow and comes in three packages: consumer, business and online prepaid. Customers subscribing to this service do not need to change their current fixed line number. Customers can also move their broadband connection to wherever they go. Coverage of this service will initially be available in Bugibba/Qawra, Naxxar, Mosta, Attard, Balzan, Iklin, Lija, B’Kara, Fleur-de-lys, Hamrun, Kappara, San Gwann, Qormi, St Venera, Zebbug, Rabat and Mtarfa. By March 2008 Vodafone says the @home service will have nationwide coverage.
