TMN, Vodafone, Optimus raise mobile tariffs by 2.5% (Portugal)

TMN, Vodafone and Optimus, the Portuguese mobile operators, have raised their mobile tariffs by 2.5% from March’09. TMN has hiked its tariffs on voice and data services from 1 March, whereas the price of the Moche tariff, which focuses on the youth remains unchanged. National calls in the Mimo plan between subscribers has been raised to $0.32 for the first minute and to $0.19 thereafter. For other networks, national calls will cost $0.50/min.
Vodafone will levy the new tariffs from 5 March only for its mobile services, except the tariffs of Yorn Power Extravaganza and Vita 91 Extreme. All national calls in the Vita Total plan will cost $0.24/min, while calls made to EU nations will be charged at $0.71/min.
Optimus will start charging higher tariffs from 5 March as the national calls of Total package will be priced at $0.24/min and European calls at $0.68/min.
