Telkom and others awarded pay-TV concessions (South Africa)Telkom South Africa has been awarded a pay-TV licence by the country’s communications regulator ICASA. Three other firms – Hosken Consolidated Investments, Walking On Water and OnDigital – were also granted concessions; 18 companies had originally applied for licences. Telkom says its media division expects to launch commercial pay-TV services within 12-18 months, Telecompaper reports.
