Turkcell: Customer Numbers Rise in 2006Yahoo writes…Turkcell AS, a Turkish mobile phone network operator, said Friday that customer numbers rose 14 percent last year.
The operator had 31.8 million subscribers in Turkey as of Dec. 31, up from 27.9 million in 2005, the company said in a statement. The number of net new subscribers added in the fourth quarter of 2006 was 900,000.
“The overall financial performance of Turkcell is in line with Turkcell’s target for this year,” the company said
The company expects a profit margin of 38 percent before tax and other costs.
