UK adds 250,000 unbundled lines in MayThe UK added another 250,000 unbundled local loops in May, for a total 2.25 million at the end of the month. The number of wholesale line rentals in use was stable versus the previous month at 4.2 million, while carrier pre-select numbers were also unchanged at 6.2 million. The monthly update from the Office of the Telecoms Adjudicator showed some improvements in provisioning of the services by Openreach, as well as some “continuing volatility”. The combined (MPF/SMPF) LLU Right First Time delivery of business as usual (BAU) unbundled lines has remained stable averaging 92 percent (versus 98% target).
